Additionally, Ali also made her an appearance on television screens. A Man Called Hawk and Wally and the Valentines were some of her TV characters. Ali's most memorable project came when she brought Ashley Banks to life on the hit TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in the year 1990. The series, with Will Smith as the star, was a great success. It was one of NBC's top shows, ranking 12th on the list of most watched programs from 1990 to 1992. It also earned two Golden Globe nominations.
